The Kentucky men's basketball team will host a practice and scrimmage open to students, faculty and staff on Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. in Memorial Coliseum, the school announced Monday. The entire event will be broadcast on WKYT-27, ESPNU, ESPN3.com and UKathletics.com.
Free tickets will be distributed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday at the Memorial Coliseum ticket windows on Euclid Avenue, UK said in a news release. One ticket per UK ID will be available to all current students, faculty and staff, as well as Bluegrass Community and Technical College students. All seating is general admission.
Attendees may not line up before the doors open at 2 p.m. on the day of the event, UK said. A valid student or UK faculty/staff ID must be presented with a ticket upon entry. The school said it would announce more details on Tuesday, including other TV affiliates.
Entrance to the event will be through the Euclid Avenue doors only.
The open scrimmage and practice is for those who "don't get a chance to feel the experience and see players and see them up close," UK Coach John Calipari said Monday.
