Swing shift Bluegrass Care & Rehabilitation residents were treated recently to a concert by the Young at Heart Big Band. This local group has been playing big band-era hits for more than 30 years. "This concert was a beautiful tribute to our elder population, and the wonderful memories it inspired were evident in our residents' smiles, tapping toes and dancing hands," said Darla Borthwick, quality of life director at Bluegrass Care & Rehabilitation. Donated proceeds from Young at Heart Big Band performances go toward providing musical instruments to underprivileged children.
