Police charged two people with manufacturing methamphetamine after narcotics officers raided two houses Monday in Lexington.

Christina J. Desesa and Timothy M. Belcher were scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon. Both were charged with manufacturing meth, first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers arrested Desesa and Belcher after searching two homes on opposite ends of town.

Desasa, 34, was charged after officers searched a duplex at 2509 Lindhurst Loop, near Palumbo Drive outside Man o' War Boulevard. According to a uniform citation, police found an active one-step meth lab and less than a gram of finished meth in the house.

Desesa "admitted that she uses and manufactures meth," the document said.

Desesa's house was searched about 3 p.m. Police executed a search warrant at another house seven hours later.

Belcher, 46, was arrested after that raid, in which officers found "equipment, supplies and chemicals to manufacture meth" at a home on Toronto Court, near the intersection of Nicholasville Road and Man o' War. Officers found multiple one-step labs and finished meth.

Desesa was held at the Fayette County Detention Center on a $4,100 bond. Belcher's bond was set at $8,100.
