Trey Rakes hit a 35-foot three-pointer as time expired to give No. 7 Bullitt East a 47-44 victory against No. 2 Pleasure Ridge Park in the 6th Region championship game at Bellarmine University on Tuesday night.

The Chargers' reward for beating the second-ranked team in Dave Cantrall's Rating the State? A matchup with No. 1 Louisville Trinity in the first round of the Sweet Sixteen.

Derek Willis, a junior who has already committed to play at the University of Kentucky, was 8-for-22 from the field and finished with 22 points and 14 rebounds for Bullitt East (27-4).

Rakes had 10 points and five assists, and Rusty Troutman had eight points and six rebounds.

Max Clemons led the Panthers (26-7) with 15 points and eight rebounds, and Antonio McDaniels had 13 points and three steals.

No. 23 Clark Co. 61, Mason 39 (10th): The Cardinals (30-5) broke out of the gate slowly and trailed 8-5 after one quarter, but then proceeded to rout the Royals in the finals at Montgomery County.

Bopper Stenzel scored a game-high 24 points and Adam Fatkin had 13 for Clark County, which will play Apollo in the first round of the Sweet Sixteen. Apollo defeated Muhlenberg County 64-62 in the 3rd Region finals on Monday night in the Owensboro Supercenter.

Tyler Black scored 15 points for Mason County.

No 11 Oldham Co. 50, Collins 40 (8th): Tyler Wesley, a senior forward, led the Colonels (29-5) to the title with 19 points at Henry County. Sam Gruber and Garrett Masters added eight points apiece.

Junior guard Dez Marshall led the Titans (24-11) with 11 points.

Oldham County's first-round opponent in the Sweet Sixteen will be No. 10 Bowling Green (29-6), which defeated Warren Central 60-47 in the 4th Region finals.

Knott Co. Central 50, Buckhorn 42 (14th): Freshman guard Cameron Justice scored 22 points in the finals for the host Patriots (29-5). Matt Day had 18 for Buckhorn (26-6).

Knott Central will face Boone County (27-7), the 9th Region winner, in the first round of the Sweet Sixteen.
