A doll was left in the 300 block of South Limestone as part of a Transylvania University art project that placed 1111 dolls from the Avenue of Champions north to New Circle Road in Lexington, Ky., Wednesday, April 18, 2012. Community groups made the dolls of socks, clay, clothespins and wood. "From the beginning, the purpose has been for us to become better neighbors with out community," said Kurt Gohde, a Transylvania professor who teaches Community Engagement Through the Arts course with colleague Kremena Todorova.
