One person died and two others were injured Thursday night in a single-vehicle crash on Gooch Pike in Garrard County.
Micah Shearer, 37, of Crab Orchard died after losing control of his 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck while driving north on Gooch Pike, Kentucky State Police said in a news release.
Shearer failed to negotiate a curve in the road, and the pickup ran off the shoulder and overturned twice, ejecting all three occupants. No one was wearing a seat belt, police said.
Passengers Alexandra Arce, 26, and Christopher Linville, 21, both of Berea, were taken to area hospitals and treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening, the news release said.
