Twenty-seven riders with the Bluegrass Cycling Club rode in a processional to the burial service Wednesday for Masaki "Toshie" Tashima at Camp Nelson National Cemetery on U.S. 27 near Nicholasville. Bill Cole, front left, pulled a trailer carrying Tashima’s bike. Tashima, 64, passed away June 14 after a six-month battle with cancer. He was an avid cyclist and the cycling club’s 2011 mileage award winner, logging over 4,400 miles on 137 rides. Photo by Charles Bertram | Staff
