Delino DeShields Jr. broke the Lexington Legends' single-season record for stolen bases in a 5-2 victory on the road against the West Virginia Power on Saturday night.

DeShields, who had a two-run single in the fourth inning, tied Josh Anderson's 8-year-old mark with his 48th stolen base in the sixth inning. He followed that up with another, his 49th, in the eighth inning.

The Legends took advantage of three errors and two bases-loaded walks to stop a two-game skid that marred the team's return from the All-Star break.

Lexington's Luis Alvarez added two RBI, including a solo home run in the fourth inning. It was Alvarez's first homer of the season in his second game with the Legends.

Jonas Dufek improved to 5-1 with a solid start. He pitched six innings and gave up two earned runs on seven hits and two walks. He had three strikeouts.

Murilo Gouvea came on to pitch two scoreless innings before Carlos Quevedo struck out the side in the ninth to earn his fourth save.

The Power's Ryan Hafner dropped to 0-5 after walking five batters and giving up three runs in three innings.
