Kentucky State Police were investigating a shooting in Breathitt County in which at least six people were injured, including three law-enforcement officers.
State Trooper Jody Sims said the incident occurred in the Houston community along Ky. 30, about 10 miles from Jackson.
Details were scarce Sunday night, but multiple injuries were confirmed. Sims said a state trooper and two Breathitt County sheriff's deputies had non-life-threatening injuries.
A suspect was also injured, as were two people who were apparently passing by the scene.
The incident was reported by the passersby about 8:10 p.m. Sunday.
Sims said state police were investigating, and a news release was expected early Monday with more details.
