Former University of Kentucky star and No. 1 draft pick Anthony Davis suffered a sprained ankle during a closed workout with the New Orleans Hornets Saturday at the Alario Center, but the Hornets are not listing Davis' ankle sprain as severe, the Times Picayune reports on its Web site.
Other reports described the injury as severe.
The Picayune reports, "There also has not been a determination made yet whether he will miss Team USA workouts that starts this week in Las Vegas, according to the team."
ESPN reported the injury "most likely takes him out of Team USA running, league sources told ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher."
