The funeral for an Anderson County High School senior killed in a one-vehicle crash will be Thursday.
Cody Ramsey, 17, of Anderson County was pronounced dead at the scene of Sunday's crash, Sgt. Robbie Armstrong of the Anderson County sheriff's office said in a release.
Cody, who was wearing his seat belt, was driving a 2001 Ford Windstar van on U.S. 62 west of Lawrenceburg when the vehicle drifted off to the right side of the road. He traveled back across the road and struck a tree, the release said.
Cody, a member of the school's track team, would have graduated next year. He was employed this summer by the Anderson County Parks and Recreation Department.
The sheriff's office continues to investigate the collision.
Visitation is 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and the funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg.
He is survived by his parents, Gerald and Terri Moore Ramsey; three brothers Gerald "Jordy" Ramsey, Jr. and Dylan Ramsey of Lawrenceburg and Nathaniel Ramsey of Texas; grandfather Theron "Lonnie" Moore of Nicholasville; and grandmother Marie Northern of Berea,
