The Whitley County coroner's office has identified the three victims of a crash on Interstate 75 Friday as a family from Louisville.

Brian Catlett, 38, Ambeanna Catlett, 31, and their daughter, Savanna Catlett, 14, were on their way back from vacation in Gatlinburg when the crash occurred, said Jerry Croley, Whitley County chief deputy coroner.

A passenger in the vehicle, a friend of the family, was taken by helicopter to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, Croley said. He said that person is a juvenile whose name is not being released.

Whitley County Sheriff Colan Harrell said Friday that the crash occurred at about 3:15 p.m. when two northbound vehicles collided just past the 18 mile marker, north of Williamsburg.

Ambeanna and Savanna Catlett were pronounced dead at the scene. Brian Catlett was pronounced dead at Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin. All three had been wearing seat belts, Croley said.
