Zach Johnson hit a pair of run-scoring doubles to lead the Lexington Legends to a 7-4 victory in a rain-shortened game against the host Greenville Drive on Friday night.

Johnson, who entered Friday's game leading the South Atlantic League in RBI with 76, added three more — one in the fifth and two in the sixth. He also leads the league with 30 doubles.

Justin Gominsky knocked in a pair of runs, both on sacrifice flies, and Brandon Meredith doubled in a run in the fifth.

Delino DeShields Jr. had a pair of stolen bases. He leads the league with 69 this season.

Thursday's late game

Greenville 11, Lexington 10 (15 innings): Garin Cecchini's infield hit scored Jose Garcia with the winning run in the bottom of the 15th inning.

Before pulling out the win, the Drive rallied twice to tie the game.

In the 15th inning, Garcia led off with a double, stole third and stayed there as Keury De La Cruz grounded out to first base. Cecchini then hit a slow roller up the first-base line that was fielded by pitcher Mitchell Lambson, who attempted to flip the ball backhanded to catcher Ryan McCurdy, but Garcia was able to score from third.
