Former University of Kentucky standout Terrence Jones has signed his rookie contract with the Houston Rockets, the Houston Chronicle reported Wednesday.

Jones, the 18th player taken in last month's NBA Draft, will earn about $2.5 million total in his first two seasons, according to the league's rookie salary scale.

Jones made a good first impression on the Rockets, averaging 18.2 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists in the recently concluded NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
