The University of Kentucky Gatton College Executive Education Center is offering a Society for Human Resource Management Learning System course for certification as a Professional in Human Resources or a Senior Professional in Human Resources. The Executive Education Center in the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics will launch the Institute for Business Management & Leadership Excellence this fall. Beginning Aug. 29 with Series 1: Professional Business Management, the institute will offer an 11-session evening program meeting from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. weekly. Series 2 will be offered during the spring semester, March 21 to May 30. Participants who complete the program will receive 30 hours of continuing education credit for each series. A discount is available to anyone registering before Aug. 1, and an additional discount is available to those who sign up for Series 1 and 2 at the same time. The 2012 Woodland Owners Short Course helps woodland landowners become more aware of the variety of organizations and programs available to them to help care for their woodlands. The Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program will present benefit fairs to inform residents of local, state and federal resources to help find employment, training and assistance while they are between jobs.
