With growth comes change, and Kentucky will see plenty of both this season.

The Southeastern Conference revealed its 2012-13 men's basketball schedule Friday and it promises 18 games for every team, an expanded league tournament and a pair of new rivals.

The SEC's addition of Missouri and Texas A&M meant the elimination of the two-division format along with the annual home-and-home rivalries with division opponents.

Kentucky's new-look schedule includes two games each against Auburn, Florida, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt, and one each against the rest of the league's opponents.

Each SEC team has been assigned one permanent rival to play two times a season — UK's is Florida. The other four will rotate on an annual basis.

Kentucky opens SEC play Jan. 10 at Vanderbilt and finishes up March 9 against Florida in Rupp Arena.

The Cats get their first look at newcomer Texas A&M on Jan. 12 in Rupp Arena, then visit College Station on Feb. 2.

Kentucky has only one game against Missouri, an appearance on ESPN's College GameDay on Feb. 23 in Rupp Arena.

The SEC Tournament, to be held March 13-17 this season in Nashville, grows from a four- to a five-day event.

The SEC Network will broadcast games Wednesday and Thursday plus Friday night. ESPNU will televise the two afternoon games on Friday. Saturday's semifinals and Sunday's finals will be on ABC.

Kentucky will play a league-leading 13 conference games on national TV, in addition to at least six non-conference games.
