A Pike County man is charged with murder and abuse of a corpse, but Kentucky State Police would not say Saturday night whether the charges are in connection with his missing wife.

Bruce Dillon, 52, of Belfry was lodged in the Pike County jail Friday night after he was arrested by state police. Remains of a body were found Friday outside his Belfry home.

Dillon's wife, Sherry "Sissy" Gauze Dillon, 44, was last seen July 7 at her Belfry home, and her family reported her missing July 16, state police said this month.

A dispatcher at the state police post in Pikeville said a news release on the matter would not be issued until Monday.
