Young people showcased their talents at Spotlight on Youth at Lexington's Lyric Theatre July 31.

Sponsored by Partners for Youth, the event brought together groups from the East End, Gainesway, Woodhill, Cardinal Valley and Winburn.

Teens who participated in summer activities heard from organizations that offer programs for youngsters year-round.

The event was part of the summer I DO initiative, an outgrowth of the Commission on Youth Development and Public Safety.
