■ Army Pfc. Brittany L. Thomas has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.
Thomas is the daughter of Ron Thomas of Paris. She is a 2005 graduate of Paris High School.
■ Army Pvt. Robert T. Hempel has graduated from One Station Unit Training, which included basic military training and advanced individual training, at Fort Leonard Wood in Waynesville, Mo.
Hempel is a 2009 graduate of George Rogers Clark High School, Winchester.
