A Jackson County man died early Saturday after he crashed his Ford Explorer 4 miles north of London on Ky. 30.

Christopher L. Keifer, 29, of Tyner, apparently was driving east "at a high rate of speed" at about 2:03 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle and overturned several times; he was thrown from the wreckage, Laurel County Sheriff John Root said in a news release.

Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash, but the investigation continues, Root said Saturday.
