Briefs: Library offers tai chi class

The Woodford County Library in downtown Versailles is offering a tai chi class at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays. It begins this week and runs through Sept. 27. Develop balance and relieve stress with martial artist Jay Akers, who will present postures from a Yang tai chi short form. Call (859) 873-5191 to register.

Auction will benefit cancer patient

A live and silent auction to benefit Courtney Reed, 22, of Versailles, recently diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, a type of cancer, will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Huffman Pavilion at Falling Springs. Millville Hillbilly Daze set for Saturday
