If you notice elephants having brunch behind Rupp Arena on Thursday morning, don't panic. The circus has come to town.

The Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus will be staging performances at Rupp on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

To get the show's famous elephants ready to perform, the Greatest Show on Earth will treat the elephants to "lavish Opening Day Brunch" outside the Animal Pavilion behind Rupp Arena before their first performance Thursday.

Brunch will be served at 11 a.m. Thursday, and Lexington residents are invited to attend and watch the elephants "dine like circus royalty," according to a press release.

Tickets for circus performances are available at www.Ringling.com or at the Rupp Arena box office.
