A Buckeye butterfly rested on some goldenrod during a butterfly identification hike at Raven Run Nature Sanctuary in Lexington, Ky. on Sunday, September 9, 12. About 30 participants heard a brief lecture by naturalist Brian Perry before taking a short hike through the meadow to spot and identify butterflies and moths.
