Franklin County briefs: K-State band will perform at halftime of Vikings-Colts

September 12, 2012

The Kentucky State University Mighty Marching Thorobreds have been selected to perform the halftime show for the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

"This is a great honor for the band, KSU and the Commonwealth of Kentucky," said KSU Band Director Kalomo Bailey.

The Indianapolis Colts take on the Minnesota Vikings at 1 p.m. Sunday.

The band won the inaugural Circle City Classic Battle of the Bands at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis last year against Albany State University.
