A Lawrence County man was arrested Tuesday after police said he used a stun gun or Taser on a his wife and children.

Buddy R. Moore, 38, of Louisa, is charged with first-degree criminal abuse against a child younger than 12 and second-degree assault, state police said in a news release.

According to police, officers received a report Moore used the stun gun or Taser on numerous occasions to shock three people.

"An investigation was conducted and information was received that Mr. Moore had used the weapon on his spouse and children," the release said.

Moore was lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
