Two brothers charged in the murder of a Clinton County man turned themselves in to state police Friday evening, according to a news release.

Police issued an alert earlier Friday announcing the two had been charged with murder and that they should be considered armed and dangerous.

The brothers are Phillip M. Roberts, 33, and Thomas A. Roberts, 38, both of Clinton County.

They are charged with killing James F. Perdue, 73, who was found dead at his home by a friend on Wednesday.

Authorities have not released information on how Perdue died or the suspected motive for the crime.
