Kentucky artisans Scot and Laura Kellersberger of Phoenix Creative Metal have been commissioned to design and build six life-sized sculptures of Civil War soldiers that will represent a skirmish line. These soldiers will be depicting the black Union soldiers who fought during the war defending Helena, Ark. They will be placed in Freedom Park located in historic Helena. The line of soldiers will include an officer, two riflemen shooting, one rifleman reloading, one wounded soldier and one soldier assisting the wounded soldier. The Kellersbergers live in Salvisa, Ky.
