Woman with knife charged with trying to rob Perry store; three hurt

A knife-wielding woman assaulted three people in an attempted robbery early Wednesday at a Perry County convenience store.

State police said in a news release that a Bonnyman woman allegedly tried to rob the Grapevine BP Super Mart about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The woman assaulted the clerk and two people in the store with the knife before fleeing, police said.

A short time later, police arrested Lilli Nicole Hurt, 20, and charged her with armed robbery and three counts of attempted murder.

The victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

Hurt was taken to the Kentucky River Regional Detention Center.
