There are lots of coupons in today's newspaper!

One complaint I sometimes get is that it's too hard to coupon. Well, here are dozens of easy ways to save. Just start clipping.

CVS

The company is running a promotion that gives you $10 in ExtraCare bucks to use toward future purchases when you buy $30 of participating P&G products. Here's a way to do it and save big.

■ Purchase two Pantene shampoos or conditioners for $8. Be sure to use your $1 newspaper coupon. Also purchase Crest 3D White Toothpaste for $3.49, and use the 50-cent newspaper coupon. Next, buy Tide detergent for $5.94, and use the $1 newspaper coupon. Then buy a six-pack of Bounty paper towels for $4.88, and use the 25-cent newspaper coupon. Next up is a 12-pack of Charmin for $5.88 while using the 25-cent newspaper coupon. Finally, buy two Dawn liquid detergents for 96 cents each. In all, you'll pay $27.11 after coupons and receive the $10 in ExtraCare bucks because the price before coupons was $30.11.

■ Now we're going to use the $10 in ExtraCare bucks and get even more ExtraCare bucks. Buy $10 of Physicians Formula Cosmetics, and you'll get $7 in ExtraCare bucks. I bought mascara for $10.49 and used my $10 in ExtraCare bucks from the first transaction to pay just 49 cents for the mascara. Plus, I got the $7 in ExtraCare bucks.

■ Next up is a way to use those new $7 in ExtraCare bucks. Buy Crest Rinse for $4.99 and use the $1.50 newspaper coupon. You'll also get $1 in ExtraCare bucks. Next, buy Zantac 150 for $8.99, and use the $5 newspaper coupon, plus get $2 in ExtraCare bucks. Also buy Colgate toothpaste for $3.49, and use the 50-cent newspaper coupon, plus get $1 in ExtraCare bucks. Use your $7 in ExtraCare bucks from the previous transaction to help pay for this one. You'll end up paying $3.47 out of pocket and get $4 in ExtraCare bucks.

Overall, your final out-of-pocket expenses for all of these transaction is $31.07, and you still have $4 in ExtraCare bucks for next week's sales.

Rite Aid

■ Buy Tide laundry detergent for $5.94, and use the $1 newspaper coupon. Also buy a 20-count of Charmin Basic Double Roll for $9.87, and use the 25-cent newspaper coupon. You'll get $5 in +UPs Rewards to use toward future purchases.

■ Buy two Old Spice or Gillette deodorants or body washes for $8, and use the $1 newspaper coupon, plus get $2 in +UPs Rewards.

■ Buy Crest Pro-Health Rinse for $4.99, and use the $1.50 newspaper coupon. You'll also get $2.50 in +UPs Rewards.

■ Buy a family pack of Luvs diapers for $17.99, and use the $1 newspaper coupon. You'll also get $2 in +UPs Rewards.

■ Buy a "super pack" of Pampers diapers for $24.99, and use the $1 newspaper coupon. You'll also get $5 in +UPs Rewards.

■ Buy two Vicks NyQuil or DayQuil products for $13, and use the $3 newspaper coupon. You'll also get $2 in +UPs Rewards.

■ Buy four packages of Puffs tissues for $5, and use the 25-cent newspaper coupon, plus get $2 in +UPs Rewards.

■ Buy Duracell Ultra Batteries for $6.47, and use the 75-cent newspaper coupon, plus get $2 in +UPs Rewards.

■ Sundown Vitamins are buy one, get one free. Use the $1 newspaper coupon and get $3 in +UPs Rewards.

■ Get $5 in +UPs Rewards when you buy $20 of participating CoverGirl and Olay Skin Care or Bath Care products that are on sale for buy one, get the second one half off. Match plenty of your newspaper coupons to sweeten the deal.

Walgreens

■ Febreze household products are on sale for 20 percent off. Use the $2 newspaper coupon, plus receive 2,000 wellness points on your Walgreens Balance Reward card, which equals $2, when you purchase $10 or more.

■ Buy an Olay Pro-X skin care cleaning system for $29.99, and use the $5 newspaper coupon. Also buy Olay Regenerist Skin Care for $22.99, and use the $2 newspaper coupon. You can then send in for a $20 rebate that you've qualified for by purchasing $50 or more of Olay products.

■ Buy two Tampax or Always feminine care products for $8. Use the $2.50 newspaper coupon, plus receive 50 cents in Register Rewards.
