Woodford County: Ghost hunting class to be held at library

The Woodford County Public Library will present Ghost Hunting 101 at 5:30 p.m. Friday at its Midway branch, 400 Northside Dr., and at 6 p.m. Oct. 18, at the main library, 115 North Main Street, Versailles.

Tommy Jones from the Kentucky Area Paranormal Society will presents the basics of ghost hunting. Learn about theories, techniques and equipment, and see audio and video evidence recorded in investigations across the country.

This event is for third-grade students to adults.

Canine Olympics set for Oct. 21

The Woodford County Humane Society's Canine Olympics will be held from 1-5 p.m. Oct. 21 at Woodford County Park.

Registration begins at noon, followed at 12:15 p.m. by a blessing of the animals.

Registration is $6 per dog per event. Events include: I'll eat anything, best trick, dress-your-dog dash, dancing with the dog stars, outfield catch, hot dog dash, best Halloween costumes, cookie toss, friendliest dog, frisbee catch, obstacle course and agility course.
