Henry Clay senior awarded Eagle Scout honor

Ryan Michael Siegel

Ryan Michael Siegel, 17, of Lexington, was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout on Aug. 8.

The rank of Eagle Scout is the highest honor given by the Boy Scouts of America.

Ryan is a member of Troop 110 and Venturing Crew 110, sponsored by South Elkhorn Christian Church.

He is a senior at Henry Clay High School. After graduation, Ryan plans to attend the University of Kentucky.

He is the son of Renée M. Siegel of Lexington and William A. Siegel of Annandale, N.J. Ryan is a member of the reform temple, Temple Adath Israel on North Ashland Avenue.

For his Eagle Scout leadership service project, Ryan and a team under his direction, including his troop, designed and built a foot bridge for South Elkhorn Christian Church.
