Rollie Massimino returns to the site where he orchestrated one of college basketball's most memorable upsets. Massimino, whose Villanova team knocked off Georgetown in the 1985 NCAA finals in Rupp Arena, is now coach of Northwood (Fla.). Massimino's Seahawks, ranked No. 1 in NAIA Division II, are Kentucky's opponent for its first pre-season exhibition game. (7 p.m., Fox Sports South)
Friday, Saturday
The Breeders' Cup World Championships unfold in California. Friday's six-race schedule is topped by the Ladies' Classic, which features a showdown between unbeatens Awesome Feather and My Miss Aurelia (7:30 p.m., NBC Sports Network). On Saturday's nine-race day, Game On Dude should be the favorite in the $5 million Classic on a Santa Anita track where he's never lost. ( 8:30 p.m., NBC-18)

UK tries again for an SEC football victory, as Vanderbilt visits. As the Commodores (4-4) close in on bowl eligibility, the Cats (1-8) close in on next season. (Noon, ESPNU)
