Pumpkin Mania strikes Transylvania University

Published: October 29, 2012

More than 200 jack-o'-lanterns were on display Monday on the front steps of Old Morrison at Transylvania University as part of Pumpkin Mania. From the Transylvania University Web site: "Last year, 250 jack-o'-lanterns, carved by faculty, staff, students and members of the community, lit up the steps of Old Morrison. This year, Transylvania hopes to have even more pumpkins." The jack-o'-lanterns were lit Friday, and they're to remain on display through Halloween night. As of Monday morning, the total was about the same as last year, but some jack-o'-lanterns were being added. Photo by Charles Bertram | Staff
