Lex-Care: Single mother needs help with rent

October 31, 2012

Denise Emmons, a case manager at Bluegrass IMPACT, submitted this week's case for her client, a single mother who needs $675 to pay her rent.

In the past she has worked as caregiver and in the fast food industry. Currently, she is being trained to work full time for a local call answering service and is awaiting her first paycheck. Once her rent is paid she will be able to maintain her household using her earnings, her court-ordered child support and food stamps.
