A Lexington man died latest Tuesday night in a one-vehicle accident on northbound Interstate 75 in Whitley County, according to Kentucky State Police.

Brandon K. Wood, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was driving a 2002 Nissan Xterra sport-utility vehicle when he lost control. The vehicle left the road and struck a tree, police said. The crash occurred at the 21-mile marker.

Wood was wearing his seat belt.
