Eastern Elementary principal Ed Denney held a sign during a rally Friday celebrating the Georgetown school's statewide test scores. Kentucky Performance Rating for Educational Progress (K-PREP) tests were released shortly after midnight, and Eastern was classified as a School of Distinction, the highest ranking a school can achieve. The Scott County Sheriff's office delivered the test results via helicopter. The students had not been told the scores until the rally.
