Kentucky Bancshares, the Paris-based parent company of Kentucky Bank, announced this week that third-quarter earnings fell 4 percent compared with the same period in 2011.
The company earned $1.7 million, or 63 cents a share, compared with $1.77 million, or 67 cents a share, for the same period in 2011. The decline was attributed to a higher provision for loan losses.
Kentucky Bank has offices in Cynthiana, Georgetown, Morehead, Nicholasville, Paris, Sandy Hook, Versailles, Wilmore and Winchester.
