Published: November 14, 2012

A Fayette County grand jury indicted a Lexington man Tuesday in the September killing of a 16-year-old.

Malik Shabazz Johnson, 20, is charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence in the death of Jaleel Raglin.

Raglin was visiting his infant son when he was shot in the head at his girlfriend's apartment Sept. 25. The shooting occurred at the Matador North apartment complex on Winburn Drive, across the street from Winburn Middle School.

According to the indictment, Johnson "removed or altered" the gun used in the shooting, leading to the tampering charge.

An arraignment hearing was scheduled for Nov. 29.
