For many people, nativity sets — or crèches — are a special part of the Christmas celebration. Some are handed down through generations, others are gifts from friends, and still others have specific religious significance for the owner.

If you display a nativity scene that has special meaning for you and your family, we'd like to hear about it.

Send us a short description of the crèche and why it is special. Include a photo as an attachment, if you have one (we would prefer it be at least 300 dpi and in the JPG file format). Email your story and photo to sscherer1@herald-leader.com (with "Nativity" in the subject line).

Please respond by noon Dec. 14.

We'll select some of the stories to publish in Life + Faith as Christmas approaches.
