Black Friday was marked this year by more and more stores opening on Thanksgiving, so it's no surprise that Lexington bargain-hunters spent their evenings talking as much about shopping as turkey on Twitter.

First, the easy observations: "Hamburg in Lexington...#Nightmare," wrote ‏@ShaeMechelle06.

"I didn't even know there were this many people in Lexington," noted ‏@abigaily8s.

And then it got crazier.

‏@TreyLindsey wrote, "This Fayette Mall is insane! Been in Express for ... near an hour and a half! No prob though, brought a lot of well needed stuff."

Bravo for thinking ahead. Some others weren't so lucky.

"Someone in Lexington being me fooooooood. sincerely, stuck in the mall," wrote ‏@_captainmorg around 10 p.m.

There was the occasional celebrity sighting to keep people awake.

"Just saw Nerlens Noel at Fayette Mall," wrote ‏@TheBenCoffman. "Told him Gorgui (Dieng ) is ready for him to come to the ville in about a month."

But there were also those just wishing it would end.

"I hope all 350,000 people in lexington get flat tires tonight so I don't have to deal with their madness ," wrote ChelseyBleck12.
