Old Wildcat Lodge demolition begins

Dennis Brinley, president of HCL Inc., operated an excavator as demolition began Monday on the University of Kentucky Joe B. Hall Wildcat Lodge on Lexington Avenue. A new dorm is to be built on the site. Brinley said the site should be cleared in three weeks. The former men's basketball team residence hall, which opened in 1978, was replaced earlier this year by the new Wildcat Coal Lodge.
