Danville man indicted in connection with woman's death

November 28, 2012

A Boyle County grand jury has indicted a Danville man on a murder charge in connection with the Oct. 10 shooting death of woman.

Lamar Stallworth, 27, was indicted in the death of Melissa White. She was arrested this year on a charge of tampering with physical evidence in the death of Michael Begley Jr., 27, of Richmond. Begley was found strangled to death on a Boyle County road in November 2011.

White's husband, Jordan Montez White, was charged with reckless homicide in Begley's death. White's sister, Gina Priest, was also charged with tampering with physical evidence in the Begley case.

Danville Police Chief Tony Gray told the Advocate-Messenger newspaper in October that it does not appear the Begley case and White's death were related.

Stallworth was also indicted on a charge of first-degree wanton endangerment, accused of shooting a firearm in the direction of Derrick Ball.
