The second of two men who walked away from the Blackburn Correctional Complex on Saturday was caught Monday morning in Garrard County.

Tyler Roberts, 21, was caught about 10:45 a.m., walking on the side of a road in the Gilberts Creek area, 21/2 miles south of Lancaster, Garrard County Sheriff Ronnie Wardrip said.

Escapee Christopher W. Melton, 23, was caught Sunday night in Garrard County.

Deputies had received a call about a car parked in the Gilberts Creek Baptist Church parking lot, and when they arrived, two men got out of the car and ran.

Melton was caught, but Roberts escaped.

The two were confirmed missing about 8 p.m. Saturday. Melton was serving a six-year sentence for theft and fleeing police. He would have been eligible for parole in April.

Roberts was serving a 10-year sentence for burglary, theft, arson and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

He would have been eligible for parole in October 2013.
