A Bell County physician was charged Monday with driving under the influence and two counts of second-degree assault after the vehicle she was driving the wrong way on Man o' War Boulevard collided with a truck, Lexington police said.

Dr. Briana Boyd, 39, was not injured in the crash, which was reported shortly before 5 a.m. Monday, Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said. Boyd was taken to the Fayette County jail.

Roberts did not have the names of the two people injured in the truck. They were taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital.

The crash happened on the outer loop of Man o' War between Osbourn Way and Clearwater Way. The section of Man o' War was closed for several hours.

The website of the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure said Boyd practices in Bell County.
