Jessamine teen killed, two others hurt in crash near Wilmore

Published: December 4, 2012

A Jessamine County teenager died and two others were injured early Tuesday in a one-vehicle crash near Wilmore, the Jessamine County Sheriff's Office said.

Taylor Corman, 18, of Cleveland Ford Road in southern Jessamine, was pronounced dead at the scene, said Chief Deputy Allen Peel of the sheriff's office.

Two passengers were taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital in Lexington. Emilee Gosser, 18, of Nicholasville, was listed in fair condition, and Christopher Gumm, 19, also of Nicholasville, was treated and released.

Corman was driving a 1998 Jeep north on Ky. 29 when he lost control, left the road, overcorrected, and struck a tree near Drake Lane, Peel said.

Alcohol and speed are suspected in the crash, Peel said.

The crash was reported at 2:17 a.m. Tuesday.
