VASTEC, a company that provides document scanning and other records-management services, plans to hire 100 workers for its operation in Mount Vernon.
The work involves processing a backlog of disability claims for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, according to a statement.
The positions, which involve data entry, pay $10 to $14 hourly, and job assignments are expected to last between one year and three years.
