The Paris/Bourbon County Tourism Commission is sponsoring a holiday decorating contest for homes in Paris, with the public assisting in judging.

You may pick up a map of participating homes at the welcome center, 720 High Street, during an open house from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Light refreshments will be served. Participants are then invited to drive by each entry and nominate their favorite house for the People's Choice Award. The deadline for returning votes is Dec. 18.

Alzheimer's program

Legal and Financial Planning for Alzheimer's Disease, a program that allows caregivers to ask questions of legal and financial experts, will be 1-2:30 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Paris-Bourbon County Library, 701 High Street, Paris.
