Providence Christian Church's Holiday Marketplace with gift and crafts vendors is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 101 Providence Way. Gifts to be sold include handmade baskets, jewelry, candles, hand-painted ornaments, and knitted hats and scarves. The church is located in Brannon Crossing just past the Amstar Theater. Wesley Village Christmas Ball

The Wilmore Community Center at Wesley Village will hold its Christmas Ball from 8:30 to 11 p.m. Saturday at 1125 North Lexington Avenue in Wilmore. Guests can enjoy live big-band music, dancing, hors d'oeuvres and door prizes. A swing dance lesson will be offered at 7:30 p.m. Dressy attire is suggested. Entry is $10 per person. New hours at recycling center

The Jessamine County Recycling Center has announced a new schedule that offers Saturday morning hours.

The center, at 123 Hendren Way, will now be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays. It's closed Sundays.
