A Nicholasville man died Thursday night in the second of two crashes on Greendale Road in Lexington.

Tommy A. Huff, 63, died about 6:25 p.m. of multiple injuries at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, according to the Fayette County coroner's office.

Police said Huff drove a 2002 black Ford Ranger that struck a Ford Mustang, forcing it into the front of a tractor-trailer at Greendale and Mercer roads, north of Leestown Road.

The Ranger drove off and then wrecked again, colliding head-on with a black 2007 Dodge Magnum carrying four children and an adult near Buck Lane, according to police.

The wrecks were reported about 5:40 p.m.

Antwan Higgins was driving the Magnum, and all five occupants of that car were injured, police said.
