Kentucky's Department of Corrections Division of Probation and Parole made 10 arrests Friday as part of an initiative to capture probation and parole violators and escapees in Fayette County.
The crackdown was part of the Capturing Absconders Proactively (CAP) initiative, a collaborative effort within the department of corrections, according to a news release.
Four teams from the Division of Probation and Parole participated in the operation, which led to 10 apprehensions — seven parole absconders, two escapees from the Home Incarceration Program and one parole violator was arrested for failing to report to his parole officer.
Team members will continue to follow up on leads as to the whereabouts of the absconders and escapees that were not apprehended in Friday's operation, the release said.
